- He was found guilty of the manslaughter of his four-week-old daughter in Plymouth on 23 September 2010. He had violently shook his victim so that she suffered serious injuries to her brain and died in hospital on 24 September 2010. He claimed to have dropped his victim and shaken her to try and revive her when she had lost consciousness. Medical experts said the massive injury to both her brain and her eyes had been non-accidental.
The judge said: "You simply lost your temper and self control and committed a serious and unlawful act on a helpless baby... Nearly three years have now gone by and you have continued to deny [your victims family] some closure... You have been concerned only for preserving your own skin." - Case Timeline
