- He pleaded guilty to wounding with intent to do grievous bodily harm (GBH) in Westminster, central London, on 30 September 2012. He slashed his 78-year-old victim to the neck after, together with his co-defendants, he followed and ambushed his victim who was walking with his wife near Marble Arch. The court heard that he attacked his victim, a retired Indian general, in revenge for his involvement in a military operation (Blue Star) against Sikh separatists in Amritsar, north-west India, in June 1984. A charge of common assault (relating to his victims wife) was ordered to lie on the court file.
The judge said: "This was a group attack by young men on a 78-year-old man." - Case Timeline
