- She pleaded guilty to breaching bail for failing to attend her sentencing hearing in 2000 after she was found guilty of having possession of Class A drugs (cocaine) with intent to supply. She was arrested in 1998 with 2.9kg of cocaine, with a street value of between £200,000 and £240,000, in the boot of her vehicle.
The judge said: "You absconded. Quite how you've been spending your life in 13 years is not clear to me. You knew that you were required by this court. You were in breach of bail and in Contempt of Court... I sentence you on the basis you were a courier of this amount of cocaine. I take into account your age and I treat you as a person of good character and I take into account what I have read about your health ... in my judgment the very least sentence which is appropriate for an offence of possession of cocaine with intent to supply is one of four years imprisonment." - Mitigating & Aggravating Factors
