- He was found guilty of murder in Carlisle, Cumbria, on 15 June 2015. He lured his victim into Upperby cemetery under false pretences (about a job) where he attacked him with a sharp implement. His victim suffered more than nine wounds, with one penetrating through his neck tissues to his spine. The court heard that his motive was jealousy and that he was obsessed with his victims girlfriends. Following the murder he sent his victims girlfriend a (Facebook) message purporting to be from him ending their relationship. His victims body was discovered the next morning by a passer-by in a secluded area of the cemetery.
