- He pleaded guilty to the manslaughter (diminished responsibility) of his 58-year-old mother and his 20-year-old sister at the family home in Millom, Cumbria, on 8 June 2013.
The judge said: "Although your responsibility for these offences was diminished and there was substantial impairment, you do retain a significant responsibility and culpability. You voluntarily ingested the drugs. On the evidence it was undoubtedly the ingestion of those drugs which detonated your vulnerability to mental psychosis and led to these dreadful killings." - Online Resources
