- He was convicted of conspiracy to defraud between April 2005 and October 2007. Together with his co-defendants he defrauded householders by holding themselves out as experts in extension work and taking deposits for building work that was never done. There were more than 50 victims of the scam which netted the gang nearly £1million in total. The judge said: "This was deliberate and planned."
