- She was found guilty of conspiracy to defraud Sandwell Council and Annie Lennard Primary School in Sandwell, West Midlands, between January 2010 and September 2015. She abused her position of trust as a head teacher to steal from her school. She used school cheques to purchase goods for her own benefit and dishonestly arranged payments to tradesmen (inflated invoices) for overpriced work or work which was never carried out. The court heard that she was responsible for the school losing more than £500,000.
The judge said: "These series of conspiracies would not have existed without you. You abused your position ... You amassed a small network of people who each became involved in your dishonest scheme" - Case Timeline
