He pleaded guilty to manslaughter and robbery. On 19 November 2012, he took part in the robbery of an 85-year-old woman in Greenford, west London. Together with his co-defendant, he target his victim, following her down an alleyway, before pushing her to the ground and stealing her handbag. His vulnerable victim died of head injuries on 20 November 2012. On 20 November 2012, he robbed a 75-year-old woman of her bag containing £120. He was 14-years-old at the time and in secure accommodation for previous violent offences.

The judge said: "The killing of Mrs Castle was a particularly despicable offence. It was markedly serious in my view and detestable given her so obvious frailty... These were cruel offences. I am sure you are both dangerous and pose a very high risk to the public of serious harm."
