- He was found guilty of rape, indecent assault, sexual activity (penetrative and non-penetrative) with a child, sexual assault, attempted sexual assault and possession of indecent photographs (and videos) of children between 1997 and 2008. He was found not guilty of (three) further counts of indecent assault, indecency, sexual assault and perverting the course of justice. He was a serving police officer on the Metropolitan Police (for 30 years) and retired in 1999, with the rank of chief superintendent, before becoming a scuba diving instructor. He used his position of trust to sexually abuse his young victims at his home in Caterham and in (Stone Cross Farm) Crowborough.
