- He was found guilty of the murder of his 15-year-old victim at his home in Blackpool, Lancashire, between 23 August 2007 and 27 August 2007. The court heard that he had groomed his vulnerable victim and sexually exploited her before he killed her after she threatened to go to the police. The jury had not heard about his previous conviction (12-months imprisonment in 1995) for indecent assault and gross indecency committed against a 13-year-old girl. Following the murder he enlisted his friend to dispose of his victims body which has not been recovered.
