Craig Richardson first starting training his own pet dogs at the age of five, he had a German Shepherd that he trained and worked as a part of a Dog Display Team. Craig worked on and off training dogs of all breeds until he finished school at the age of 16. It was then that he became a full time dog trainer and behaviour consultant.

From 2003 to 2010 he worked as an independent Dog Trainer and Behaviourist, dealing with Obedience Instruction, Group Training Classes and Dog Behaviour Consultations. He also worked with his Father, GUY RICHARDSON - who was the proprietor of WEST LANCS CANINE CENTRE from 1989 to 2010.

Over the last 5 years he has assisted in the assessments of 116 dogs for the courts of this country whose owners have been charged with offences under Sections 1 & 3 Dangerous Dogs Act 1991, Section 2 Dogs Act 1871 and the Animal Welfare Act 2006. During this time his mentor was his Father, who is a renowned Dog Expert in his own right. Since 2013 Craig has assessed 149 dogs for the courts in relation to the relevant acts of law.

Craig has worked within and trained with various institutions, these include;

The British Institute of Professional Dog Trainers (BIPDT) – Craig is a full member of the institute and has obtained this through dog obedience instruction & specialist assessments.  He is a regional assessor for the BIPDT Security Dog Division.

Craig is a qualified trainer and assessor for the National Association of Security Dog Users.

Craig is a fully qualified member of The Canine & Feline Behaviour Association and as a result is recognised as a Dog Behaviour Expert.

The Fostering Team – Craig has been working with The Fostering Team, an organisation that helps find foster homes for children in North West England. Craig provides assessments in relation to potential fosterers that own dogs, ensuring that the home is safe for a young child.

Local Authority Children’s Services – Craig has been working with numerous Local Authorities assessing the suitability of dog owners in relation to adopting children.

Craig has appeared on the radio many times, mainly on City Talk 105.9 based in Liverpool – answering questions about dog training and behaviour. He has also appeared on TV commenting on dog behaviour & training aids.

Craig has worked as a dog behaviour and care advisor for the Abu Dhabi Police force in the United Arab Emirates.

Craig in the past has been a guest speaker at John Moores University.

Craig provides a thorough, reliable and professional service.

He can provide references from solicitors and clients if required.

Although Craig is based in Liverpool he has received many instructions from solicitors nationwide, especially in the Greater London area.   

In his spare time Craig enjoys tracking and scent training with his German Shepherd.
