First appointed as a Health and Safety Adviser in 1982, Ray has been an established Sole Practitioner since February 2007 practicing in both the UK and the Republic of Ireland. He has wide ranging experience in health and safety management in the Waste Process Management and Construction/Civil Engineering industries, Leisure, and the management of large public events.
Having worked for two FTSE 100 companies in a number of safety related roles including project management, Ray’s industrial practice centres mainly on finding pragmatic solutions to issues and in facilitating and embedding staff safety culture development. He offers additional services ranging from the creation of bespoke Safety Management systems, to Project Safety Coordination, Risk Profiling and Process Mapping, HAZOP/FMEA Process Management, and staff/operative training.
Ray’s pragmatic outlook on health and safety matters has been enthusiastically welcomed at a wide range of public events, from local ‘grass roots’ to high profile international championship level. He is currently working with the event management teams of 10 major equestrian, canine and agricultural shows/events. He has also been appointed to advise the Directors of 3 major national governing bodies on policy, safe practice and legal compliance in health and safety.
