As chair of the pan-industry steering group that oversees the RICS service charge code, Chris Edwards is one of the UK’s foremost expert on service charges.
Working as an advisor on service charges in office, retail (both in and out of town), leisure, industrial and residential property, Chris also advises as an advocate, expert witness. Alternatively he can facilitate resolution of a dispute as a mediator .
As a commercial property advisor, Chris has a wealth of experience gained over his 40 years in the profession working across all sectors. He works with both owners and occupiers to provide effective and efficient advice on all areas of service charges, devising strategies that ensure effective and efficient management of their respective property interests.
When matters cannot be agreed he acts for parties as advocate or expert witness or as a single joint expert. Alternatively he can facilitate dispute resolution as an RICS accredited mediator or can determine disputes as an independent expert or arbitrator. He is a member of the RICS’ President’s panels of Independent Experts and Arbitrators.
