We are a firm of Chartered Civil & Structural Engineers based in Birmingham. The practice was established during 1992 by Robert Evans and Andrew Knowles, and was incorporated during 2004. Although we are based in the Midlands we regularly undertake work throughout the UK mainland and have successfully undertaken projects as far away as South Wales, North Wales, Kent, Northumberland and Cumbria.
We work closely with several Midlands based legal practices and have assisted in many cases related to civil litigation, professional negligence and health and safety issues. We are familiar with the legal process and understand our duties to the court. Although much of our work is done prior to litigation individuals from the practice have appeared in court as expert witnesses on several occasions.
Our aim is to provide an efficient professional service at competitive prices. The basis of our fees will always be agreed before any costs are incurred and we will identify exactly what is included in our package of services. We are prepared to invoice on a ‘lump sum’ fee basis, a percentage fee basis or at hourly charge rates. There are no hidden surprises. Travelling and general disbursement costs are usually included.
