- He was found guilty (unanimous verdict) of unlawfully wounding his male victim in November 2010. The victim was a old friend of Farrimond's estranged wife. Farrimond suspected that they were having a sexual relationship. When the the victim went to her house, after the three had seen eachother (by chance) earlier in a pub, Farrimond attacked him with a lock-knife, slitting his throat.
Farrimond pleaded not guilty to wounding with intent to do grievous bodily harm, and after the jury could not reach a verdict the prosecution, having consulted with the victim, decided not to ask for a retrial. Farrimond pleaded guilty to assaulting his estranged wife and damaging the windows of her home. - Case Timeline
