Distinguishing Features / Details
He was found guilty (unanimous verdict) of the rape and murder of a 16-year-old girl in Islington, North London on 4 March, 2010. He claimed that his victim, who had been a friend, had consented to sex but died when he strangled her accidentally. He then dumped her body over a wall behind the flats where he lived with his grandmother. Hours later, he sold his victims mobile phone at a pawn shop. When he was arrested he said he had been watching the England football match on the night of the murder. There was evidence from mobile phone calls between Sacket and his victim on the night she died. Sacket has convictions for theft, assault and using threatening words and behaviour and intellectually, he is in the bottom one per cent in the country.

The judge said:"Jessie befriended the defendant. She was that sort of girl. She was happy to spend time with him on a regular basis but had no sexual interest in him. The defendant, perhaps as a result of infatuation, forced himself upon her and in the course of raping her, used some kind of ligature, and his hands around her throat, in order to subdue her and to carry out that rape... No right-thinking person could fail to have been horrified by the defendant's treatment of Jessie after killing her."
